I have posted a new entry to the 4Kay Story - Smoke 2012- FlameFX - 2D Transform
This kicks off a series of videos showcasing how to use the new Flame FX tools in Smoke 2012.
Flame FX is a new set of tools which brings you quite a bit more creative and technical capabilities inside Smoke, and, because it is part of the 2012 release, you don’t need to add plug-ins to get access to these essential tools. The Flame FX toolset is based on what you asked for, ranging from creative filtering to technical tools.
The first tool we will look at is 2D Transform. By definition, 2D Transform is about repositioning an image. But please don’t let the tool's name mislead you. There is so much more that it has to offer. With 2D and 3D transformations, dynamic filtering, motion blurring and camera shaking – the 2D Transform is a great tool for these primary requirements.
There are loads more FlameFX tools coming and I hope to cover them in great detail so that you'll know how to use them "right out of the box"
Remember that if you are not using Smoke but are interested in having a go, you can either download the 30-day trial or if you're attending NAB 2011 in Las Vegas than sign up for the Smoke hands on training. Links are in my blog.
All feedback, requests, comments are always welcome.
