What is your project bit depth and did you create your project with 16 bit FP GRAPHICS?

Yes, my project is 10 bits (I can even create 12 bits and no change...) and the FP GRAPHICS is set to 16 bits. Proxy set to Lanczos, project set to progressive...

By the way what 12u bits means? Proxy

Anyone expirience this kind of problem with these settings?

Hi,

Have you processed your dissolves? does that make a difference.

Are you watching everything back in proxy mode? Create a project with proxy set to off so that you are always working with the full res media and perhaps that will make a difference.

12 bit u refers to the way in which the 12 bits worth of data is stored in the file when created. This has nothing to do with proxies. Secondly, it is not really useful to work at 10 or 12 bit if your material is actually 8 bit. However this could attribute to the dithering. Just a thought, are you watching the dissolves in a broadcast monitor or a computer screen. This will show a difference a since almost all computer monitors show at 8 bit only.

Hope this helps.

Grant

Hi,

everything is processed and we watch the clips in full resolution,
no proxy. These are final versions of a 30 seconds commercial.

I work with 10 bits DPX files in this project so making 10 bits project in Smoke should be enough...

Still no change with dithering...

Anyway thank you for your time :)
