NEW 4KAY STORY BLOG - Stabilize, Fix & Destabilize: Camera movement is not all bad!!!
on Dec 10, 2010 at 12:42:13 pm

Hi Everyone…

I have posted a new blog on the 4Kay Story - Stabilize, Fix & Destabilize: Camera movement is not all bad!!!

http://area.autodesk.com/blogs/discreetuk

So far in this series, we have pretty much looked at tracking as a means of getting rid of bad camera movement and touched on tracking objects to backgrounds. This weeks video focuses on a different plane of thought.

Have you ever thought of the tracking tools as a problem solver? Now I am not talking about stabilization as a means to an end but more as a part of a team of tools to help solve a problem… Quite cryptic I know!!!

But….

One technique I'd like to share with you is using stabilization to hold an image in place while you work on it and than return the camera move back into the shot once you're done!

As a side note: I added in regraining into the video based on last week's comments. I promise that I read every one of them!!!

Still hungry for more information, check out this video where I do a bit of digital dentistry!!!! It's another gut-busting post technique you don't want to miss!!!!

Here is a reminder of the facilities available to you now!!!!

The Community Smoke website at http://area.autodesk.com/smoke catering for all your Smoke needs from news, my blog, forums, training and tutorials.

For instant access to the essentials start up training for smoke, you can access this at http://area.autodesk.com/smoke-tutorials

Please do not forget that the blog is now over a year old and there is hours and hours of tips, techniques and explanations. If I don't have it in the blog, let me know and I will look to add it in the new year! I am also looking into ways of easily categorizing the blog so you will be able to find things quicker!!!! Don't forget about the CREATIVEFINISHING Youtube channel either for easier mobile access to the videos!

Hope you all have a great weekend!!!

Regards
Grant
