If I'm working on a HD project (1080i25 or 1080i29.97), is it possible to have a SD downconverted output while in Smoke on Mac so that I can simultaneously view on a HD and SD video monitor ?
I did a test and configured a project as HD 1080i29.97 and in the AJA Control Panel, I configured the 2nd SDI output on the Kona 3 card as donwconverted SD and outside the Smoke on Mac application, I can see the SD downconverted signal (test pattern) but once I'm in the application, it seems to only output whatever the video preview is configured as, which is 1080i29.97 in this case. If I switch it to NTSC, then I can see the output.
Does Smoke on Mac ignore whatever you configure in the AJA Control Panel ?
Currently I believe that it does. There is a feature for Smoke Advanced called Real-Time Deliverables. This is probably what you are looking for. It will do that real-time downconvert on an NVIDIA FX5600 and up.
