how to redefine hotkeys on Mac?
on Apr 24, 2010 at 7:11:01 pm

I am learning Smoke and am attempting to change some hotkeys, but can't seem to get things working.

For instance: I want to set PLAY to L and not V. L is assigned to Aligned Edit. So I select Aligned Edit, hit CLEAR, and then SET. Then I go find PLAY and set it to L. I get a USER = Y in the field.

Save and exit. BUT L is still doing an edit, and V is still play.

I feel exceptionally dumb. Any help would be appreciated!

The best thing to do is to create a new user and choose FCP hotkeys in the user setup. This is a new feature of 2011. Then you'll be good to j-k-l all day long.
