Best Methods of Dirt Removal

Hi all, anyone have any experience with removing large amounts of dirt in smoke?

I have tried the Furnace plugs and they seem the best so far.
Any more suggestions?

Thanks!!

How much dirt are we talking about???

I've only had Furnace for a few months, and haven't used the Dirt Remover that much. I've always done it the old fashion way, but painting it out, using recursive clone mostly. You can also do stuff in paint, like save a clean frame, then paint out the dirt using reveal saved.

But for a quick fix for lots of dirt, Furnace seems pretty good.

Plug-ins never do it for me. I like hands-on painting.

Learn the paint module backwards. There are plenty of tricks that can help with dirt and sratches, like cloning from a slipped front layer.

Avid DS guy here...lurking around

Depending on the amount of dirt, ie Super 16 or old stuff, if you have the Foundry plugin, run it through, then use paint afterwards.

It's pretty good
