hello everybody. i have just joined an animation house as the in house smoke artist. i just wanted to explore new avenues. but here none of the team members have an idea of where to use the smoke effectively as part of a 2D or 3D animation pipeline. although there is compositing to be done, is smoke ideal for this kind of an environment. further i am just confused about how to define an LUT since this 2D footage has to go on to large screen. so what would be the DI workflow? guys if anyone can throw ligh on these issues please help. i only have live action experience on smoke but this animation is just confusing.
