how to set an additive layer transparent in DVE?

How to make transparent a layer set as add or a layer that I set in multiply?
I cannot believe still this issue has not been considered by discreet. How am I supposed to do a compositing of 3D elements if I cannot set transparency of a layer that has been done in 3D and that I then have to set with it's alfa channel in additive, and the shadow pass in multiply...
Please help..

I'm not sure exactly the problem is but I'll take a stab at it...
I know the transparency slider doesn't seem to work the way it should using certain transfer modes with 3D objects in Action. It doesn't seem to work right in Screen, but it does work in Blend, and Simple Add.. that just off the top of my head...
Thats the best I can do without a little more specify info...

Yep you got it right..
Ok..

I'm currently working with smoke 7.0.11 and in the all versions of smoke flame and inferno I've been working on, if I set the layer on multiply or add I cannot make have the layer transparent..

or to make it more simple to you, if I move the transparency slider, I don't get the layer to be transparent. Sure I can if I keep the layer in blend or in simple add.

The fact is that, if you have an object done in 3D, I need to put it in add, unless I will get a dark rim around it if I don't premultiply it with it's alpha...
Said so....
HOW DO I GET A LAYER IN ADD OR MULTIPLY TO GET TRANSPARENT?
