Hey all, i'm not familiar enough to do this with Linux, but i'm workiing the weekend, and could get twice as much done if i could get this networked. I changed the tcp from static to DHCP, and now smoke won't start. i change it back, and smoke starts up, but now it won't see the Stone... Argh!
I thought about just adding a shared folder just to get EDLs to it, where'd i go wrong...
When you create the filesystem for the smoke it's linked in a way to the ip address of your machine. You can see this in the sw_framestore_map file that is located inside the cfg file under
So when you changed the ip the filesystem was unable to mount. Im not sure if you can setup DHCP, i think you can, but you would have to write a little script to do so. The easiest thing would be have your smoke use a fixed IP.
Check sw_framestore_map to check that the ip and ID there are correct.
