TOXIK?

anyone using Toxik yet? any feedback? similar to smoke or flame?

Not really similar to either smoke or flame. Some of the modules are similar (use of keyers, gmasks, and the like) but the interface is completely different. Also greatly focused in collaborative workflows. It's probably easier to relate the experience to that of fusion or shake. The Gate UI (think that's what it's called) is really nice, and the 3d compositor is pretty fast. Still think it needs some more tools though.

arturo,

what can smoke or flame do, that say... after effects or shake, and final cut pro couldnt do?

and i was thinking about going with toxik in the thoughts of upgrading to a flame later down the road. would learning toxik be of no use later? what can flame do that toxik cant?

Flame is 100 times better, toxik is like a shake and after effects put together . . . it cant do all the cool stuff flame can, i saw a demo of it not too long ago, its like another combustion, it can do all the grudge work and prep work for the flame,
