Hi All:
We just obtained a new Smoke system. It seems like a great box. We only got 2 days of training, and the manual is a little rough. Are there any books or 3rd party tutorials I can get.

Unfortunately there's not a lot of material that covers smoke (or flame). There's a CMI flame training DVD set, don't know if it's good or not though, that might be of use since modules don't change that much from flame to smoke. Smoke used to ship with a good tutorial of a Molson's commercial, but that's no more. Other than that, not a lot of reference material besides the manual.

Roy,
Future Media Concepts in NY offer 5 day courses in both smoke fundamentals and intermediate. At $2750 it should pay for itself on one job!

You'll just need to convince "the boss" to give you a week off :-)

As a discreet customer you should have access to the tutorials for Smoke and Fire. Request a username/password. You can start here by emailing discreet.support@discreet.com
