I posted a while back, and was recommended PlayBack Pro for our live event, which is bigscreen at a soccer stadium. We just installed an internal RAID in our new PowerMac, and the ProRes422 (HQ) 1920x1080 video plays back fine, but the audio glitches almost everytime a clip gets loaded into preview.. whether its loaded via "Link", or if we manually select a clip while another is playing. This is extremely frustrating, and we have the Premier of our brand new bigscreen coming up! PLEASE, is there anyone who has experienced this and found a solution, or anyone who might help me troubleshoot this. We are going to beef up the RAM from 3 to 10 Gb, but the monitor did not show the RAM being challenged at all. We have Blackmagic decklink HD extreme card in the mac also, and Final Cut Pro.
Never mind, it turns out that if I exported from FCP as "QT movie" instead of "QT conversion", the problem went away. (using Prores422 (HQ))
Seems to be ok, although I don't understand why.. but I don't really care as long as it works...
