Can some one suggest me a good institute where i can learn event technology (lights, sound and video)
I've been working as a vision mixer for almost a year and i've been in media field as a NLE for more than two years.
so im looking for short course less than a year.

Thank you
Jackson

I recommend you stay with the real world and keep getting experience that way. Unless it is a certification or specialized training that is required for the industry, I would skip it.

Stick with the school of hard knocks and find a place that can use your abilities. Keep on learning and experimenting and I don't think you'll have a problem going further than you are now. :-)

Good luck!

Certifications are always handy to have since they show ACTUAL EXPERIENCE in whatever field they are for. Some rigging certifications, for example, require 3,000 hours of in the field experience just to qualify to take the test.

I'd look into: AES (Audio Engineering Society), SynAudCon, SMAART and/or EASERA training (maybe also Meyer SIM, etc.). ETC has some good lighting board training, but I can't think of too many for video, sorry - I'm mainly a sound guy :-)

InfoComm is not something I am familiar with, but do your research and see if it fits.

I think event technology is rather a broad term in a world of specialists. I would suggest figuring out what part of technology you like and have the talents for.
