Animating a menu in After Effects

Animating a menu in After Effects

From Encore, I selected my menu, went to the menu menu at the top, and selected "Create After Effects Composition." I then went in and animated my menu how I wanted it. I didn't render it, but rather just dragged the composition from After Effects to my Encore project pane.

In Encore, I turned the composition into a time line, set it as first play, then linked the end action to the menu. My problem is that when the animation (which takes 4 seconds) finishes, the screen goes black while it transitions to the menu. I don't want it to do that. Is there a way to make this link between the animation and the menu seamless?

Don't do that: that makes it an intro movie. You want it to be the motion background of the menu, setting a loop point that will repeat when it has played the first time.
