Blu-Ray burn fails because of "Missing AU Delimiter"

Hey everyone -

I have a movie on blu-ray disc and I have been asked to add a new audio track to it, so I've extracted the .264 file (MakeMKV -> MKVextract) and added my own new .ac3 file. Now I will re-burn the disc without the need to re-encode the video.

Everything plays back fine in the preview, but when I attempt to build either an image or disc, I get the cryptic error: "Blu-Ray Object: "Movie Name" Error: "Invalid format". Code: "14", Note: "ERRORL Missing AU delimiter"

Now, to me, it can't be an invalid format, since this is a video that clearly already plays on Blu-Ray as is, and it displays properly in Encore as a 1920x1080 23.976 video asset. Unless somewhere along the mkv extraction process, I have introduced some illegal setting to it?

But I mostly suspect the issue has to do with the Missing AU delimiter (whatever that is). Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks in advance for any help on this frustrating problem...
