Anyone have any idea how to convert or use a .SRT (subtitle file) file in Encore CS5?

I don't believe Encore takes SRT - it takes .scc for CC or for subtitles, it takes .txt (formatted/time stamped of course) or it takes Image files. We use .srt for YouTube

Yes that's why the subject is about getting one in. How does one convert to something Encore understands.

if you are on a mac annotation edit will do the job good.

there are PC-tools available, too - I guess lemony will do this job, too.

Daniel i am trying to use annotation to transfer a .srt file to a friendly encore file. It does not work for me. Could you briefly describe the workflow in annotations?

Many thanks,
Ronald

Hi Ronald,
it´s very simple.

1. import your srt-file by drag/drop it on the applications-icon.
2. file>export as>subtitle/caption>adobe encore txt

there you are.

cheers
