Create new menu to link to existing menu. Possible?
on May 14, 2007 at 1:26:24 am

My objective for learning Encore was to take two DVD movies, combine them into one DVD, the linked by a new menu to access either movie.

I've learned how to take a DVD and import it's video files to Encore to work with. I've also learned how to create a menu to link to both movies I've just imported.

My question is as follows; If is possible to import a DVD's existing menu into Encore to be edited. If not to EDIT, then is it possible to create a new menu to link to the existing respective menus of the two DVDs I'm trying to combine into one?

A tool I use to "Merge" DVD's (and retain their original menus) is called DVDRemake Pro (the "Pro" version is not free, but they do have a "lite" version that I *think* has the "merge" function).

George

Is it possible to accomplish this is Adobe Encore, or any other Abode product?

I don't think so (keeping/re-using original menus/buttons from external DVD's).

Did you try DVDRemake (the free version)?

Another application that can do it (to some degree) is DVDLab PRO (using the "Attach External VTS" feature).

George
