Is there a way to have the menu buttons fade in and then become active? I'd like to create a movie for the menu background and don't want the buttons displayed at that time. When the background is done playing, I will probably switch it to a static image but at that point is when I would like the buttons to fade into view and become active.
use after effects or your video editor to create the intro movie and then have your video buttons fade in one at a time... check out tutorials #2,3,4 in the advanced section of my website (main page)(http://asvideoproductions.com/doogs/downloads.htm) and also tut#5,5a,6 in the intermediate section of page 2 (http://asvideoproductions.com/doogs/downloads2.htm) and also Adam Kampia's tut on how to create an intro using after effects ( http://www.absolutevideosolutions.com/videosamples/AEmenutut.wmv) these may help you a little
Thanks David. For some reason I can't view the AVI's in Windows Media Player 11. I get the audio, but no picture. Looks like I may have to view them in something else. I'll let you know how it goes once I figure out how to create the buttons/menu based on your tutorials.
This might help. I think Dave has the Camtasia website link on his website and if you go to Camtasia, you can download a free Camtasia player or a codec from Techsmith which would allow you to view them. Camtasia 3 makes the compressed WMA files with a Windows 9 codec (at least according to the instructions in the program that's what it is) so that might be the problem.
It is worth it to check out the tutorials though.
