Anyone found any printable CD/DVD's that have a glossy printable area. I find plenty of labels--no glossy printable discs?

I've purchased an Epson R200 which has a CD/DVD printable tray that works great. Its not a thermal print like your Lord of the Rings dvds but it looks great with images taken from video, psd.s that have been saved as high res JPEGs, and the software that comes with the printer's text tool looks great too.

The printer (CompUSA) with rebates and such was 50 bucks, and the CompUSA INKJET PRINTABLE DVD's work perfectly.

Those run a dollar a disc in spools of 25 - $25 bucks a spool.

One Pro/Con of the R200 is that you move up from the 2 inkjet cartridges to 6.... The cartridges are about 12 each. So you can look at it as -

"I have to spend about 60-70 bucks to refill all of these cartridges"

"I only have to spend 12 on the individual colors if/when they run out"

So theres my 2 cents. Hope this helps.

I just like the high-gloss quality I see on many DVD's.

I have an Epson R300 myself.

I create my labels in Photoshop but feel I am losing too much of the on-screen quality to the "matte" finish.

Since my post, I found that TDK makes high-gloss printables, but they cost $3.99 per disc. Can't see myself buying a 100 pack of these any time soon.

I am using Epson R200 to print my CD. It is an awesome printer.
Likewise, the only problem I have is the expensive cartridge.

I was using refill cartridges but switched to Continuous Ink System to boost up the produtivity. It's more convenient than refilling, and about more than 90% saving than buying regular cartridges.

The one I am using is from:

several reviews of such system can be found:

By the way, Compusa is running promotion this SAT. At its cost + 7 % , Sat 11/19, good time to get cheaper printer:
