Record HDTV to my EX1?

Is this possible? I have an HD cable package, a digital box and an HD TV. Is there a way to record HD video to my EX1?

No.
The component connections on the EX-1 are for output only. You can record the programs to your computer, if you have an HD capture card with component in. HDMI will not work do to copy protection on the HD broadcasts.

Thanks Chris --

Do you have any suggestions for an HD capture card? I'm running a Mac Quad Core. I currently have a Canopus ADVC110 and looking to upgrade. Does Canopus/Grass Valley have a box that you would recommend? Or something similar from another company?

I have a Blackmagic Intensity Pro. Not expensive. it plugs into slot inside the MacPro.

Blackmagic says their cards are not compatible with Dell although some have them working.

I've never heard of Blackmagic Design but by looking at their website, the Intensity Pro looks perfect.

Thanks again.
