Repairing a Recovered PMW-EX3 File Which Has Become Corrupt

Hi.

1. I transfered footage to my computer as usual via the Clip Browser software and then accidentally erased it from both the card and the computer.

2. I used a data recovery program and got the files back with the original file structure and everything.

3. The clip was corrupt and would not load into FCP7 via log and transfer and I used MPEG Streamclip to convert it to an .mov file. That file was successfully imported into FCP but the first twenty minutes of the clip are gone; the clip is listed as 35 minutes where it is supposed to be about 50 minutes.

4. Here's the kicker...the entire clip will play in Clip Browser but is unable to be exported or read in any other program now. (For some reason I can't even get StreamClip to read it either) Error message says something like, "No input movie detected" or something similar.

Does anyone know about any good repair programs out there?

Has expertise in rescuing XDCAM EX files.

If you want a "dirty" solution, if you can play it full screen in ClipBrowser, you could play it down real time, capture in a program like ScreenFlow and save it as Apple ProRes.

Thanks.

The link (Treasured) seems like a really great option. However, this footage was luckily not very important and I'm researching free options. I ran a diagnostic via the Treasured software and it seems to only be able to repair the same amount of footage as what is already recognizable at this point.

I really appreciate your help and hope more responses come in.

Thanks!

I don't know if this would help you, but it's free and might be worth a shot. http://www.roadkil.net/program.php?ProgramID=29
