Hi Guys,

Does it matter what the frame rate settings are set in the camera when recording to a KiPro or does the camera output the same signal regardless and you just set the KiPro for what you want? Thanks for your help.

I know my Nano recognizes the signal it receives and I'm sure it is the same for the KiPro. If you choose 24p format then you can set the SDI output for either 60i or 24p on the EX cameras.

Yep, Michael is right. In the EX3 menu go to Genlock and choose either 60i or 24p. That will set your hdsdi out.

I was just looking at the menu and that option is greyed out. How do I turn it on?

Try setting the camera to 24p format then look at that setting, or make sure you have a newer firmware.

Yeah, that's what you have to do so it's not grayed out: Set your recording format to 24p and then in genlock you can choose between 60i or 24psf (progressive segmented frame).

Got it. Why does this have anything to do with genlock? I feed the SDI signal to a Panasonic digital switcher and don't need genlock. We mix 3 cameras this way with only the SDI cable.
