XML files from harddrive to FCP
on May 6, 2010 at 4:34:23 am

My friend shot a sizzle reel on an EX2 or 3. Not even sure if there is a 3, but he put all the .XML files on a hard drive, but I don't know how to get them into FCP. I have FCP 6.06 and I'm on a G5. How do I convert these files so I can edit them? I tried Log and Transfer, but that didn't work. I tried to drag in the .TXT files and the .XML's but,,,,nothing. Thank you in advance for your help.

That's just part of the file format and not the part you need to actually view footage...

You need BPAV folders (usually in a named parent folder).
