SD Reader on Netbooks

SD Reader on Netbooks

I'll be shooting in France in May and looking for a better way to backup BPAV files at the end of the day. Some netbooks (HP, Gateway) have an integrated SD reader. Anyone have first-hand experience with these? Can I take an SDHC card out of the M&R adapter, insert in the netbook SD reader and transfer files with ClipBrower?

Wouldn't see why not. At least copy functions should be fine- though I'd caution trying the more processor intensive reader apps. There are also a bunch of standalone media readers for SD cards that might be a bit more rugged- just off the top of my Google:
