Does any one know if i can import RAW sony ex1 BPAV files into premier pro cs2. I hava a client with PP but i need to know if the footage i give them will work or if i need to give them the converted MXF files

I know it works with premier pro cs4 but i don't know if the earlier version of premier pro cs2 works

Hi Jordan,
As long as I know, the support is from CS4.
Cheers,
Rafael

I believe there may have been an update to CS3 that allowed this to work on some level.

At some point clients need to consider updating if they are professionally involved. Otherwise you're in for transcoding and time is money and if clients aren't willing to spend money to update you may need to bill them for transcoding. Consider it like the traditional dubbing charge when you made VHS for the clients to see footage since they didn't have BetaSP decks. There should be no business reason NOT to charge for dubs or transcodes. It may be more cost effective for clients to upgrade CS2 to CS4.

BPAV can be directly imported into PP CS3 since Ver 3.2, not earlier.
