I just shoot some motorcyclists from the back of a camera car. Had my camera on sticks with no vibration isolators. On reviewing the footage, alot of it is not just shaky, it is uncomfortable (unwatchable) to watch due to the "snakey" look of the CMOS scanning mixed with the quick vibration. This is much more prevalent on the long lens stuff. Just a heads up..

HQ1080/30p, 1/60, -3db, T2, pp is basically a standard profile with a touch more saturation, blacks a bit crushed and less detail. (is that enough details?). I took steadyshot OFF for some and ON for others. No change.

Some would say that a faster shutter speed might help (although that doesn't change how the chips are scanned of course) but given what the camera is going through as you have it mounted, I don't think they'll be that much improvement.

You'd probably need to mount in a way to eliminate short/fast vibrations.

One way that might emulate a test is to set up the camera on a tripod and kick the leg a bit (affected by the build of the tripod of course).

You're going to need to absorb the vibrations.

When we mounted cameras in off-road race cars for ESPN, we hard mounted them to the roll cage. No isolation whatsoever. Any soft or rubber mounting was a disaster.

Not that this would calm the effect that you're seeing, just a comment.
