I'm hoping someone might have some experience with this. Currently, we are using CatDV to catalog our EX-1 footage. At the moment, we are exporting our clips as "mxf for nle" from the EX-1 Clip to manage in our database software.
We are currently also importing these files into Premier CS3 without a problem. Our only issue is that we would like to be able to bring the metadata from our database program over. CatDV will give us a "Premier Batch List" which allows us to import the file descriptions, with metadata.
Here's the problem;
When we attempt to re-link our MXF files to the descriptions brought in via the "Batch List" it gives us this error;
"The selected file cannot be linked because it has 1 audio channel(s) and the clip was created with 2 audio channel(s). "
We also receive this error when we bring back an archived project and attempt to re-link files associated with that project.
We have tried all of the settings in the preferences panel (preferences/audio/default track format) with no success.
Anyone else have this problem????
Any help appreciated. We're not dead in the water, but it is annoying.
