PANASONIC SDHC cards on the MxR
on Jan 26, 2009 at 5:29:26 am

Dear friend on the COW,
I've got my MxR from Australia, but after two days looking for SDHC cards in Bangkok, I couldn't find nothing.
Some Sandisk and some Transcend of 4GB and probably fake.
just in the airport I found some PANASONIC SDHC Class 6 with 8GB.
I bought them and tried them.
As usual they've got formatted in camera at the second try.
I made few shoots but the crds end up failing. Some times after a couple of minutes but one of the shoots took 22 minutes before stopping.
The camera ask for "Restore Media", but it fails when I try to do so. I can not even format the card in camera. I have to use the Disk Utility.
I've tried to buy through Amazon, but they can not ship the cards here due to "Geographical Restrictions". for the same reason they can not send me the Pelican Box, neither the Kata bag, neither the..what a f#@!!
Poverty is not only when you have no money to buy, but also when you have money and there is nothing to buy with your money.

Kind of expensive but it's Sandisk Ultra II 16GB and apparently in Bangkok or at least Thailand.

Have you tried any of these?

Hi Craig,
Sorry I haven't tell you thanks yet.
A guy from Australia who sow my post have offered me the cards for 45US$.
Half the price of the web-site. But in Thailand is like that. If you want a product with warranty you have to pay otherwise you never know what are you buying.
