SxS cards with a PowerBook?
on Dec 3, 2008 at 4:44:32 am

Has anyone attempted using a PowerBook with an external Express Card Reader to import SxS card data? If so, were you successful? And how?

Thanks.
Alec.

It's a wonderful thing. Much faster than the camera and it frees your camera up for things like "shooting". Now ain't that cool??

$249?
i was thinking more in terms of

around $40.

i don't need much speed for this solution.
did i hear you mention using the camera?

Yes you can use the USB connection on the camera.
Takes about 12 minutes to unload a 8GB s x s card.
Unfortunatly no way to check for error correction as you can with Clip Browser which is Intel only.

The Clip Browser program has the ability to verify that all of the data has been duplicated exactly, where as dragging and dropping could possibly miss something.

Good Luck
