Hi, i'm new here
I'm a rookie so this is my question
I have MXF files that I shoot using sony XDCAM HD 355 with 50fps,(slow motion)
but why my aspect ratio frame size is 1440x540 and not 1440x1080? and how can I edit it? coz my other shot was at 50i and the frame size is 1440x1080,
please can you guys tell me what NLE support that 1440x540 setting
and when I try to resizing it, my picture is full of artifact etc
when I try to open on Premier pro cs3, with XDcam 1080 project preset, my picture with 50i is in normal frame size, but my slow motion picture the frame size is very small....
Make a try:
Duplicate a clip and open it with QT.
Comm-J (Properties)> Video Track> Visual setting
Change the values by 1440x1080.
Un check Preserve aspect ratio.
Save and import to FC.
See how comes now.
If you're not on a Mac, this doesn't help you, sorry... but for what it's worth, the workflow with Final Cut Pro is exactly the same for 1440x540 clips as everything else. It works just fine.
You can browse and preview these clips in XDCAM Transfer and import them to QuickTime movies. When you open them into Final Cut Pro they show at the same size/aspect ratio as 1440x1080 clips that you might want to edit them with. Only difference in FCP is that these clips always show the 'red line' (needs rendering) on the timeline.
