I am using InDesign CS4, is it possible to widen the gap in the thick thin stroke without altering the stroke weight?

Hi Philip,

If you go to the 'Stroke Menu' then hit the 'Fly-out' sub menu, there is a 'Stroke Style' option and you can create your own custom strokes (make sure you choose 'Type'- Stripe within the drop down and then you can choose what you need (grab the black lines and move them to where you require also the small black arrows at the side or type into the 'Start' and 'Width' to be more precise.

Hopefully this helps!

Thanks Lucy, I've tried what you recommend and it works very well.
