I have been asked to recreate a booklet created in powerpoint into indesign. The booklet is to be ring bound at the top (and consequentially the bottom of the reverse side) of each page. Obviously this means that a spread created needs to have 2 pages: one with a large margin at the top, the other with a larger margin at the bottom.
Unlike a standard book, each page is littered with diagrams and illustrations, meaning that text wrapping from page to page is impossible; each page will have to be layed out as a separate design. So far, this is fine.
The client needs the option to be able to add a page anywhere in the document in the future. If he does this however, does this mean that each subsequent page will be out of sync with it's new page margins?
Is there some kind of way, in Indesign that you can instruct it to say, 'this page has content set in this area, if I moves to a page with different page margins the whole of this content will shift to suit'?
