Help with text wrapping
on May 7, 2009 at 8:38:40 am

Hi all,

Hopefully an easy question. I work with plenty of website URLs when I'm working with text on documentation.

Now what I find frustrating is the software wrapping lines of text, but breaking up URLs at one or the other of its component full stops. Is there a way (similar to stopping hyphenation which I know about) that allows me to stop the software from thinking that the fullstops in the URLs are natural breaks for wrapping purposes?!

Thanks.

You have two options.

1) Force a URL line break. This is done manually with: Shift+Return

2) Change the Language of the URL Text. Select the URL. Then go to the Control Bar and select your language--change it to "No Language".

Hopefully, this should help you.
