Alex asked how to apply styles with Next Style to existing text and I responded, but thought I'd post it here as its own thread, too. This is a new feature in CS2 (which I totally missed or misinterpreted) and that I've now incorporated into my What's New in CS2 class and workbook...thanks for bringing it up, Alex!
An example: A document has paragraph styles called Headline, Byline, and Body Text. Headline has a Next Style of Byline; Byline has a Next Style of Body Text; and Body Text has a Next Style of [Same style]. If this styling was in place when entering the text, each Next Style would have been called up when a new paragraph was started. If the styling wasn't in place, it needs to be added in.
To apply the cascading sequence of styles to existing text, each style must have a Next Style applied (like the example above). In the previous example, select the paragraphs that need those styles applied to them --
