Blackmagic Design Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt - No Connection on MSI Laptop
on Apr 13, 2017 at 3:32:42 am

I've been banging my head against a wall trying to get my MSI GS40 6QE Phantom to recognise the Blackmagic Design Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt.

I've updated the BIOS and installed the latest drivers, firmware and software. I've enabled firmware updates through BIOS, as is required with the GS40.

The Thunderbolt port is visible in the Thunderbolt software. There is no device information.

The Shuttle is connected via a Thunderbolt 2 cable, into a Thunderbolt 3 adapter. There is a single HDMI cable connected to the Shuttle's HDMI IN port, attached to a Nikon d7100 DSLR. The Nikon

The Desktop Video program says it cannot detect any capture hardware.

Should the unit light up in anyway? There doesn't appear to be any sign of activation by the Shuttle.
