I am currently using the SDK to write some applications for testing products that have an HDMI output.
I have a few different Blackmagic cards but the two I am using the most are the Intensity Pro and the Decklink Extreme 3D.
For the application I would ideally like to use the Intensity Pro (mainly due to the cost difference!)
To test the application I have introduced a fault to the HDMI being tested - namely some connections are not made on the connector.
At this point the SDK does not produce any frames - so the VideoInputArrivedFrames callback does not trigger.
I would think this totally normal behavior seen as there is a fault on the HDMI connector being tested but if I use the Decklink Extreme 3D a frame is produced - all be it with an error but this is a much more desirable and easy to work with symptom then the previous.
I have updated the drivers and the SDK to the latest - Driver 9.6 SDK 9.5
Any ideas of why this happens and if there is a way to get the Intensity Pro to behave like the Extreme 3D?
