Every day we have to restart

Here's a weird thing. Our BMG Decklink Studio Pro card will occasionally slip out of audio sync, to the point that EVERY SINGLE THING that plays through it is delayed about a second. A restart fixes it, but this seems like a problem, right? Does anyone else encounter this?

2011 Mac Pro 12 core, 64 gigs ram, FCS3, external RAID 5 32Tb, Areca card, etc.

Had similar problems in past with Matrox. Letting the system go to sleep was usually the culprit. It would just be hard to get it to connect or work faithfully.

Odd thing - we turned sleep off years ago. I"m curious how the thunderbolt BMG decklink handles offset....

In 7 the same as any other card. In X it seems pretty tight, but usually a frame off.

Just a brief update. After two years of annoyances I took the mac in to Apple. They replaced the backplate or whatever it's called. Knock on wood, but I think that I had a faulty part. Thank goodness for Applecare!
