I am aware that the standard for HD content is ypbcr709 and Sd is 609. These have the levels 16-235 I think.
I am using the intensity to record xbox gameplay and I split the HDMI out of the xbox, one output from the splitter goes to my gaming monitor, and the other side goes to the BMI input. It all works fine and captures with no dropped frames.
In the xbox dashboard you can set the color space to either RGB, 709 or 609. I think the correct one to use for optimal quality would be the 709 setting which is also 16-235. BUT I want to play in RGB 0-255 on my monitor, due to deeper black, whiter white, and the fact the xbox is native RGB. So what I am asking is, what effect does RGB 0-255 have on the intensity?
