SDI audio to Adobe Connect 8 (Flash)
on Sep 1, 2011 at 1:13:56 pm

We have a client who is using Adobe Connect 8 on a Windows XP system with a "Decklink Studio" card. The input signal for sound and video is through SDI.

Now Adobe Connect lets me choose the Decklink Card as video source and that works just fine...unfortunately without sound.

Now I understand, that the AC8 video is based on flash and it expects a microphone for sound input. However the Decklink Card can not be choosen as microphone input. I think I understand why, but it would be great if I could find a way around that.

So basically what I need (I think), is to transform the Decklink SDI audio input signal into a (virtual) microphone signal, so I can choose it as input device. Or maybe I'm thinking totally wrong here, I'm open for other solutions as well.

Is that even possible? Any hints, tips or links would be highly appreciated.

Thank you,
Tobias

I managed to find a solution in case anyone has the same problem:

Another option is to use one of the Blackmagic Audio Outs and rerouteit to the microphone jack. Works fine, no delay.
