We would like to use the HuffYUV codec for our very busy PC-based, Media Express + Duo capture station. Having to capture uncompressed is unnecessarily chewing through disk space.
We use the HuffYUV codec in many of our processes because it's lossless, is incredibly space efficient and not too processor intensive.
How can we capture using the HuffYUV codec in Media Express?
(Yesterday I replied to an earlier posting asking this same question, but it's not displaying in the forum listing by thread so I thought I'd ask again in a new post. Apologies if this is showing up twice for people.)
You can only capture/play Blackmagic codec-based files with MediaExpress. You may want to try the Blackmagic MJPG codec. If the quality is not good enough, then maybe go with CineForm, although you will still not be able to use it with MediaExpress. But you could use CineForm's HDLink simple capture application or Premiere for a more complete capture solution.
