H.264 Pro - anyone try this yet?
on Feb 11, 2011 at 3:55:09 am

I am interested in the h.264 pro in that it claims to be able to record HD signals via HDMI via USB to a PC. This would be an ideal HD recording solution for the field if it works with a Core 2 Duo laptop.

I would be interested to know if anyone has used this device yet - it appears pretty new.

Thanks

I don't think it is out yet. It keeps getting delayed. I have been wanting it for quite some time.

Not out yet. Now they say end of this month. Which they are saying for months.

How about the Intensity Shuttle - looks like the next best thing if all you need is HDMI input? Anyone use that device?

Yes I have the Shuttle. It works great, but BM is very specific on the MB chipet and the USB 3 ports bandwidth. I just built an i7 with an Asus P6X58D Premium MB and it all worked fine. It has the right chipset and usb 3 port. the P6X58D-E will work too and it's cheaper.

Hmm, looks like the shuttle won't work on a laptop anyway.

Thanks

Oh, I missed that part of your original post. No there's currently no supported laptop for the Shuttle. I would have to say that's peoples biggest complaint on it.
