Intensity Pro

The Black magic support isn't working for me, so I'm hoping some one here could give me an answer.

I've heard the Intensity Pro has compatibility issues with the i7 series. True or false? I have an i7 860 and I'm really hoping it works :|

I can confirm as well...works great with the i7, both Intensity Pro and Intensity Shuttle :)

Ok thank you very much! Shall be buying one :)

Oh one last thing, you can have component in and HDMI out right? My monitor doesn't have component in, and I can't have HDMI in to the intensity as I'll be using a PS3 which has HDCP encoding, so I want to have component in to the card from the PS3 and then HDMI out to the monitor.

Thanks.

Please do your homework before buying the motherboard if you're getting the Shuttle. It needs an X58 or P55 chipset and a fast enough USB 3 port. Asus P6X58D-Premium or -E both work. Danny Hays

This combination should be fine. Some of the original X58 chipsets (the 1.0 revs) had problems with our 1x lane PCI express boards (including Intensity Pro) but this situation was corrected by intel a while back.

Can you provide any way to determine if a given X58 motherboard will be compatible or not? Or is it something that is fixable with a BIOS update?
