Echolab 700 Production Switcher

I posted here because Blackmagic bought out Echolab. I am having the hardest time finding square black/white replacement push-buttons/switches for this particular piece of equipment. We used to get them from Echolab. Blackmagic doesn't have them. I am at a loss! Any suggestions as to where I may find them--I have looked all over.

Thank You,

Hi David,

I searched the legacy Echolab manuals and found only one that might be what you need. It is for the Nova 1716. Please email me at luke[at]blackmagic-design.com and I will email it to you.

Hi Burg,

I was the Sr. Product Manager at Echolab and I have been working at Blackmagic ever since Blackmagic acquired the assets.

I know which switches you are referring to and unfortunately they are impossible to find. As a matter of fact the manufacturer of those switches stopped producing them about 1.5 years ago when Echolab did a last time buy.

I'm sorry I could not be more helpful.

Kind regards,

Ankit,

i have the Echolab 1700 (nova 16 sdi) and the power supply (6249F) seems to have failed. Can you refer me to a company that specializes in Echolab switchers. FL or East Coast if possible. Anything would help.

Hi Charle,

Please send me an email with your contact info so that I can call you to see if I can help. Echolab had a few versions of the Nova and I will need to know exactly which version you have.

As you know getting parts for the old Echolab systems is very difficult however if I can help you identify the OEM source of the power supply you might have some more luck finding a replacement.

Kind regards,

Hi. Might be jumping in here but I am supporting Bank of America TV studios and they have an Echolab 5500 switcher. A few of the SDI output cards have ceased
Functioning. Any chance you may have some of these?

Thanks so much

Hey,

We have two Nova 1700-16 switchers. We also had a power supply go out and found a replacment from Mouser Electronics (http://www.mouser.com)

It's part number 675-GLC40-5-G It was $48 bucks. What you basicly need is a 40 Watt 5V 8A Switching Power Supply.

I changed it out in about 10 minutes. All you need it a #2 Philips screwdriver. I could walk you through it.
