Can the Intensity pro display a true 30P timeline via HDMI out in FCP? If not would I get away with the output setting for display being 10801 59.94 ??

Now I'm not an expert but I don't think it will. I have one as well and I think it will only play out 1080i59.94. BM Intensity specs from there site:

HD Format Support 1080i50, 1080i59.94, 720p50 and 720p59.94.
SD Format Support 625/25 PAL and 525/29.97 NTSC.

If your timeline is 30p I believe it will convert on the fly to play out at 1080i59.94. Actually after looking at the Deck Link Studio and Deck Link HD Extreme, I don't think any of them will play out true 30p timeline. But do we actually need it to play out at 30p? As long as your timeline is set to that and it plays out at the 59.94 for viewing you should be fine. What is your final output going to be? When going to tape, thats when it'll matter.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Matt,

Thats fine, I guess what I was getting at. As long as it will playout via HDMI I'm happy. My final project will be either conformed or re-timed to 29.97 anyways.

Cheers
Joe
