Premiere crash after specify realtime playback external device connected through blackmagic
on Aug 26, 2009 at 12:07:38 am

We are running Premiere Pro CS4 in WinXP SP3, with Blackmagic Deckline HD Pro PCIe and latest BlackMagic Deckline 7.2.2 Windows Driver). When we specify RealTime Playback using Pro-monitor (support 1920 * 1080) in Premiere, Premiere quit immediately.

Connection between Pro Monitor and BlackMagic card is only a SDI link. We are sure that the SDI cables between blackmagic and Pro Monitor were OK. Trying to change display cards (Nivdia Quadro FX570 / Nvidia GeForce PX6600GT / ATI HD3450) or anothe model of Pro Monitor were not useful.

Another workstation works fine with the same configurationn as above but with Premiere Pro CS3 installed. The blackmagic driver was 6.7.2. We install CS4 on the same machine. Premiere CS4 quite at same situtaion.

Can Anyone help? Thanks

Hello,

I went back to Widows Vista 64bit on my HP XW8600 workstation with Adobe Production Premium CS3 with Cineform Prospect HD. Working just fine here now.

Untill the cs4 bugs are fixed, maybe cs5, then I will move upto this.

Thanks,

Leo
