I'm laying off an Uncompressed 10-bit sequence to a Digibeta deck (DVW-500P) via SDI. My sequence has some bars & tone, a program clock then the program. The SIF is correctly selected on the deck.
I set my In points up correctly, then perform an "Edit to Tape" in FCP 7. Everything appears to work ok and I see audio levels bouncing up and done on the deck when my program plays out. However, on checking the tape, though the video is fine, I only get audio from the bars & tone, i.e. my program audio doesn't make the tape. Strangely, if I "Print to video" the same sequence, my program audio is fine.
This looks like a problem with the source, but I can't figure out what it can be. My program is 10-bit Uncompressed 4:2:2 with 2 channels of 48kHz, 16bit audio.
I'll have the opportunity to try this with FCP 6.0.6 later on, but in the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions on what might be causing this? The Decklink driver version is 7.1.2.
