In the previous version I used (2.1) I'd usually get a frame drop error message every time I started a recording, but if I restarted the recording immediately afterwards it'd work just fine (I guess it just needed to move the harddrive head to the correct position). I upgraded to the newest version yesterday (3.1.2) which also included new firmware, and now the capture program continues whenever it can't write new data (it just skips those frames instead).
And that always creates audio desync or other problems, and it's very hard for me to predict which recordings will have dropped frames (and therefore useless). I tried to reinstall 2.1 version of the software, but the same thing occurs with the dropped frames, so I'm guessing it's the new firmware which is the cause of the new system. Is it possible to install an older version of the firmware? Or is there any other solution the problem (maybe a toggle to just stop the recording whenever a frame drops)?
