I am editing DVCPRO HD 720p from P2 cards with Intensity Pro and Premiere CS3. Windows XP
HD Components output to monitor works fine. When downconverting to sd via adobe media encoder, from a Blackmagic project in Premiere, flickering is more visible. As a result, dvd´s in sd have poorer quality than the ones I made before getting my Intensity Card. To solve this, I must render to MXF, go to a standard project in Premiere (out of Blackmagic) and downconvert there to mpeg2 via adobe media encoder: that dvd has less flickering.
I read that it is possible to downconvert to sd, directly through the card. After some investigation, I discovered the panel "Intensity" within the control panel (Why is so hidden? Why this panel is not mentioned in the Intensity Pro manual?) I select the downconversion process from hd to sd but, through components, I am still getting hd output in my monitor. What am I doing wrong?
