Has anyone experienced audio sync problems between analog audio and HDMI audio when using the DeckLink HD Extreme card?
We bought a Blackmagic-Design DeckLink HD Extreme card, installed in an Intel Mac (OS X 10.4.10), and connected it via HDMI to a Samsung 650 TV as well as via analog audio to M-Audio BX-5 speakers. The analog audio is about 3 frames out of sync when compared with the HDMI audio coming out of the TV, which syncs to picture. We are using Blackmagic Deck Control to play QuickTime (DV, HD, HDV) clips for the testing. This issue also occurs when using Final Cut Pro.
After consulting with Blackmagic-Design, we learned that there is indeed an audio sync discrepancy between the HDMI and analog audio sources. As of present, this is "normal" with HDMI and not a problem with the card.
