I am looking for a solution to display Election results in real-time,
using Decklink hardware, for Broadcasting in TV.
I am not sure as to what kind of software I need to get, though, so I am
asking for advise here.
What I am looking for is a piece of software that can PROGRAMMATICALLY
generate graphics (simple backgrounds, and overlayed text), under control of
another application. The output must be generated by DeckLink, in SDI SD format.
Note that systems assuming that there is a graphics operator that can use
a time-line oriented console to do this are not suitable for my application.
The real-time control, as well as the dynamic data merging MUST be under
control of *my* custom software program.
I see in the blackmagic site a number of applications, (such as ADOBE after
effects etc) that are compatible with DeckLink. However, not being familiar
with these applications, I am not sure they can do what I want.
I fear they are meant to be used during design, and produce output to still
stores etc, which is not what I need.
For those who might be aware of it, the kind of functionality I am looking for
is the one offered by HARRIS/INSCRIBER RTX (which is what I have been using
for this project for a number of years).
Can you please suggest a software/hardware topology ?
